U.S. Calls on Trade Partners to Submit Top Proposals by Wednesday

(MENAFN) The White House confirmed Tuesday that the U.S. administration has sent letters urging its trading partners to submit their strongest proposals by Wednesday.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt described the letters from the United States Trade Representative as "just to give them a friendly reminder that the deadline is coming up."

Leavitt also noted that officials from the Trump administration remain engaged in discussions with trade partners, aiming to finalize agreements during the ongoing 90-day negotiation pause.

According to local media, the letters request detailed proposals by Wednesday covering crucial areas such as tariff and quota offers for U.S. industrial and agricultural goods, along with strategies to address any non-tariff barriers.

This 90-day window, spanning from April 9 to July 8, was introduced following market instability that led the White House to halt its "Liberation Day" tariffs, initially imposed on April 2.
The White House has not revealed which countries received these letters.
