TIFFANY CHANDON Unwraps Slice-of-Life Comedy Short Film ‘SANDWICHED’; Wins WitnessTree and Shines at Edinburgh Fringe

LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, September 3, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Actor-writer-producer Tiffany Chandon crafts a comedic tale about a millennial trapped between two generations in the new original short film, SANDWICHED.

This witty exploration of modern family struggles continues to gain momentum on the festival circuit, winning Best Comedy, Best Performance (Chandon) and Best Film at San Diego’s WitnessTree Film Festival, while also making its international debut at the Nightpiece Film Festival as part of the iconic Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

SANDWICHED follows Steph (Chandon), a burnt-out Millennial Mom, who finds herself caught between her insatiable Gen Alpha kid and her boundary-lacking Baby Boomer parents. At her wits end, she seeks the help of an understanding voice of reason (DaJuan Johnson) and attempts to reclaim her sanity before all is lost.

This character-driven comedy first premiered back in April at the prestigious Napa Valley StreamFest screening amongst top entertainment honorees including Mariska Hargitay, Jonathan Scott, and Bill Lawrence. SANDWICHED followed that by earning acclaim at HollyShorts, as well as being named Finalist in the Roadmap Writers Shorts Competition and semi-Finalist at the Nashville FF Pitch Competition. Up next on the festival circuit are: SIMI FF (Simi Valley), The Women’s FF (Philadelphia), Glendale Int’l FF, Santa Cruz FF and Laugh After Dark Comedy Fest (Las Vegas).

Chandon based the script on her own experience and co-produced under her Conched Out Productions banner, alongside director Meg Swertlow and Sami Kolko.

“Writing SANDWICHED was largely out of a need for catharsis. I hope audiences will relate and realize they aren’t alone as they navigate similar waters,” shares Chandon.

Chandon has been building a solid reputation for her talents over the years. Her on-camera television credits include TNT’s Animal Kingdom and CW’s Hart of Dixie. She has appeared on-screen opposite Valerie Bertinelli, James Denton, Marlee Matlin, DaJuan Johnson and Shawn Hatosy.

As a writer, Chandon first honed her skills earning an MBA at Belmont University in Nashville. She was a Certificate Student at Writing Pad, the “Top Selection” of Catalyst Writer’s Group under showrunner Sheryl J. Anderson, and winner of the Creator Lab Pitch Competition, and Top Tier at Roadmap Writers.

Currently, Chandon is developing SANDWICHED into a television series. In addition, she has three other original projects in the half-hour multi-cam space in the works, including You, Me & Them, Foodlife, and Life unBalanced.
